Internet Commerce Coalition supports testing of Multi-Stakeholder Code of Conduct

The Internet Commerce Coalition, whose members include leading Internet companies and technology trade associations, is pleased that the NTIA multi-stakeholder process has successfully produced for consideration a mobile app short form notice that promises significantly to improve consumer understanding of app data practices. This process has yielded a model that subsequent multi-stakeholder processes can follow. The ICC has participated actively in the multi-stakeholder drafting process. We support the Code of Conduct and encourage companies to test short form notices that provide clear, brief notice to consumers of key app data practices in line with this Code of Conduct.
